stephanie tempest consultancy ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.


We collect and hold information about you as a legitimate interest as defined under the General Data Protection Regulations. This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use our services. It also informs you of your rights and our responsibilities in the processing of your personal information under the General Data Protection Regulations.


What information do we collect about you?

We may collect contact information (email address and phone number) and information about your job title and place of work.


How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you as a legitimate business interest in order to undertake contracted work. This information is confidential and stored securely.  We do not keep your personal data for any longer than it is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. 


Our use of your personal data will always have a legal basis, either because: 

  1. It is necessary for our performance of a contract with you; 
  2. You have consented to our use of your personal data; 
  3. We are complying with a legal obligation; or 
  4. It is necessary in pursuit of our legitimate interests.


The work we do together may be discussed within professional supervision, coaching and mentoring sessions, for the purposes of continuing professional development, to ensure that our practice is safe and effective.  This is a regulatory requirement from the Health and Care Professions Council who the Company Director, Dr Stephanie Tempest, is a registered with as an occupational therapist. No full personal names will be used within supervision, coaching and mentoring sessions.


Sharing your personal information with third parties.

We never sell or otherwise transfer or disclose your personal data to any third party except:


  1. We may sometimes contract with trusted service providers to provide goods and services on our behalf. These may include payment processing, delivery of goods, delivery of services to run the business (e.g. accountant) and IT systems. This will sometimes necessitate the transfer of your personal data to those trusted service providers. 
  2. In certain limited circumstances we may be legally required to share your personal data – for example where we are involved in legal proceedings, regulatory requirement or government department with appropriate legal authority to compel us to do so.


Access to your information and correction.

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email stephanietempest@outlook.com. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You have the right to ask to erase the personal information we hold about you. We can refuse the request if your personal information is needed in the defence or exercise of legal claims, or there is an overriding legitimate interest to retain your information.


How we store your information.

We keep your personal information in electronic records using organisational initials as identifiers. This information is stored on computer devices using encryption and password protected systems. 


Length of storage of your personal information.

We keep your personal information and the record of our work together for six years at which point we then erase your records.


Changes to the privacy policy.

We keep the privacy policy under regular review and this privacy policy was last updated on 21st March 2022.


Right to complain.

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office without prejudice about the processing of your personal data. www.ico.org.uk
